just as normal walking, where you can use n, nw, w, sw, s etc, sneak should be the same. Cause now you have to type sne northwest instead of what i'm suggesting sne nw.

SInce you can't sneak from room to room really quickly, you've no reason to spam the keyboard on this one *winks at Scorpion*. If you want to type less, though, you could try doing things like "sne n 2". Perhaps not the answer you wanted, but perhaps it will help.

Personally, I think that the moment extra that it takes to consider the exits available when your character is sneaking fits well with the fact that being sneaky is a bit more of an effort than running blindly.
